Holiday Deadlines!

Our schedule here at Cherished Portraits is booking up

faster than any procrastinator would like.

The holiday season is right around the corner.

We've had Christmas card orders coming in for months now.

Above is just a sample I thought I'd share.

And here's the scoop for anyone wanting to get in before the holiday deadlines.

SESSIONS: Any session that takes place after November 17th will ONLY have proofs in time for Christmas. Orders cannot be guaranteed.

ORDERS: The last day to place your order for “Ready in time for Christmas orders” is November 21st. After this date orders will not be guaranteed without a RUSH FEE.

This date is for orders without framing.

Framed orders will need additional time depending on the actual frame ordered.

The studio will be closed completely from December 3rd to January 3rd.
I will be out of the country for most of the month of December and will only be booking time sensitive sessions (newborns or maternity sessions) on December 23rd

(and possibly the 26th and 28th)… but completely on a limited basis.
All other inquiries for sessions in December will have the option of
booking for January or February 2010.

There will also be a holiday limited edition session day on Nov 7th

for those of you needing an updated Christmas portrait.

We'll post more details very soon.

So. With that being said - Christmas card orders are coming in like CRAZY!!

It's always hard for me to believe how fast time goes by by...
Seems like just the other day we were photographing this baby belly.
But it's already been a year! Wow... so crazy to me.

This is the sweet boy a whole year later.
Such a spunky personality he has. He's a character, for sure!

Autumn Limited Edition Sessions

These are really some of my most favorite sessions...

I LOVE seeing all the cuties in their costumes!
So much fun. Plus fall is just the best time of year to me...
the weather cools off a bit - but not too much.
Just enough to be able to wear a few extra layers...

On a side note :
Saturday appts are pretty much booked through

the first week of January.
We are scheduling later afternoon sessions during the week as late as 5:30 - until daylight savings (Oct 25th). We have some clients that are just checking kids out (if they need to) and coming after school (and or work).
So keep that in mind if your wanting to get in before the holidays!

Summer Bride

Kind of a funny little story behind how I met this bride…

For a long time a few years ago I was driving about 30 minutes to this manicurist that I had found – totally by chance I might add.
I’m a pretty picky individual (I can hear the snickers) when it comes to my nails (and really all kinds of things, but that’s not really the point). If you know me, you know I enjoy a good mani/pedi. Well one day I went in for a pedicure and my nail friend told me that it was her last week there. Oh no! I gasped.
Well she went on to tell me that she was going to be opening her own nail salon… “all the way out in Central”. “NO WAY! I live in Central” I was Sooooo excited!

Anyway.
Come to find out her salon is literally 3 minutes from my house.
No joke. It is the best thing ever! I bought gift certificates for friends and family as soon as she was open… and still enjoy my super short drive quite often :)

She was recently married and these are some
of the images that I adore.
